DIY Teacher Part 2

I have a bug! A creative bug attack. I've been learning to give myself some personal time to create. I enjoy being able to make something out of scratch. Last weekend, I made a number of hairbands and decorated a few canvas shoes. If you would like to read more about it, please head to: DIY Teacher I'm feeling a bit sick after the 3 day camp. Instead of forcing myself to mark, I made a polymer clay necklace, a pair of earrings and a couple keyring.

If you follow me on Instagram (missartofteaching), you will notice that I've been enjoying a crafty weekend. I've purchased a few pair of shoes from Kmart. They are great canvases for painting! I also purchased 15 x modelling clay to make polymer clay jewellery. I'm so heavily invested that I even purchased a portable oven for this new hobby. I also purchased a lot of fabric during Lincraft's 40% off sale and made a few hair bands.

Where have I been?

I usually try to blog daily if not a few times a week. I have been preoccupied with: -Preparing for a 'Rock' colourful pathway by having a go first hand. -Going to Kmart, Target, Ikea and Bunnings. Purchasing items for myself and to make my teaching life easier. -Making resources for my Year 11 Visual Arts class. -Making decorations for my classroom: My classroom is waiting for me to work on it. I want to slowly change it to a turquoise theme. And I need to de-clutter!

I also squeezed in the time to help her start a blog!  We taught together and share a class for two years before she left. She was the reason why my 'wellbeing' and passion for teaching just SHOT right up. This lady never stops exploring and my respect for her as a teacher and as a human being exceeds every living breath. A little snippet about herself: " Hello, everybody...I am a retired high school Visual Arts teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching visual arts to primary school students. My head is always filled with ideas that I want to share on this blog. I love experimenting with art materials and making a mess. In my spare time, I love to make handmade journals, love to quilt and anything DIY." Her blog link: The Art Lady Above: The A...
