Last day of term 2

Wow... time flies! It is already the LAST day of Term 2. Students were eager to 'paint' and help in my classroom. I had more than half the class stay back during lunch to paint my classroom. Some students did smaller jobs, like decorating the classroom fans with contact and I even had two students who made me a personal speaker! I LOVE it. The speaker is made from an empty can of Pringle and two paper cups. Check out the photos below. Now...it is time to enjoy the two weeks holidays! I will be trying to balance work with leisure time. First activity tonight is having a family dinner at a dumpling house before heading to the drive-through cinema with my partner and Shih Tzu.

Crazy wallpaper

I'm liking the crazy wallpaper in my classroom. It creates a nice backdrop for photos. It doesn't distract the students as its hidden between two big wooden bookshelves at the very corner of the room. The wallpaper is created by carefully sticking contact paper (for books) onto the wall. Above: Year 7 students are enjoying their 'Selfies' drawing unit. Above: Gave a prize out to a student today. Pokemon is still popular even though the app 'Pokemon Go' has died out. I spent my afternoon recharging by watching asian dramas. I find the best de-stress method is to watch some Cantonese drama, make some DIY project or go shopping.  I did manage to do some work as well. Made some study notes (a few pages long) for my Year 11 Visual Arts students who will be in exam period during Week 9 and 10. Above: A small section from the study notes file.
